Mattias Andersson on the podium again in the STCC

The Swedish driver Mattias Andersson is continuing to race at the highest level in the 2009 edition of the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC): in the sixth round of the season, held last weekend in the demanding circuit of Karlskoga, the driver of the Alfa 156 GTA Ma.GP supported by HRS Motorsport achieved significant results which brought him in the overall standings again.
 
Already in the qualifying sessions the young Swedish driver showed the efficacy of the feeling reached with the GTA, placing the Italian saloon car in the second row thanks to the excellent 4th place.

In Race 1 Andersson finished 5th, while the masterpiece of the weekend occurred in Race 2, where he managed to finish 2nd overall thanks to a race driven on the attack all the time, well-rewarded by the final podium placing which underlines the evident progress made by the team and the driver from the beginning of the season till now.

Currently 7th in the overall standings, Andersson has now excellent opportunities to recover already from the next round of Valer circuit (Norway) on the 28th and 29th August towards the official BMW 320 and Volvo C30, only cars able to precede the strong Swedish driver.
