Hexathron Racing Systems, effective since only two months, has already received the first important statement of confidence by the official House Lada: the Russian manufacturer chose HRS Motorsport as technical partner in the next 5 rounds of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) to develop the new car called Priora, which will replace the 110 already from next appointment of Porto on the 4th and 5th July.
The Russian saloon car will be driven by the Hexathron’s driver James Thompson, currently leading the Danish Touring Car Championship with the Honda Accord Euro - R, while Marco Calovolo, HRS’ CEO, will take care the new Priora during the tests and the races (as lately happened in Zolder on the occasion of the first contact between the team and car). Marco Calovolo with his team of technicians and mechanics will spend the best of his technical skills to increase as fast as possible this touring car that since from its beginning reveals a good potential.
After years of success in the WTCC with the official Alfa 156 GTA, Calovolo and Thompson return to be protagonist in the World Touring Car Championship, foughting in an particularly crowded season with very competitive cars and drivers.
