Few weeks after the end of Lotus Cup Italy 2014, series won by Luca Lorenzini and Flower Power Racing-Essecorse team, some of the Lotus Elise Cup PB-R cars are coming back on track. Two of those british GT will take part in the 100 Miles of Magione this weekend with the technical support of PB Racing: on the first one, there will be the 2007 FIA WTCC “Indipendents” – Stefano d’Aste – who will take the wheel of Endurance version, developed in collaboration with Hexathron Racing Systems with about 300 hp and solutions designed specifically for endurance racing. The second car will be shared by two Lotus Cup Italy drivers: Andrea Agazzi and Mauro Guastamacchia, who want to end the year with another podium after the ones collected during the season.
Stefano d’Aste: “The 100 Miles of Magione is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate, once again, the excellent potential of the Lotus Elise Cup PB-R, a car that has nothing to envy to other famous GT. The target is clearly a win but also to test with success some new features in development for the Lotus Cup Italy 2015.”
Andrea Agazzi: “To return behind the wheel of Elise Cup PB-R is fantastic, I’ll be boring but this car is unbeliavable, so exciting to drive and Magione is the perfect track to get a top result. Mauro is a great friend and is really good to share the car with him, it will be fun looking forward to the next season!”
Marco Calovolo (Hexathron Racing Systems): “The 2014 season of Lotus Cup Italy was very very good but that does not mean that the development is finished. With PB Racing and Stefano D’Aste we’re working every day to improve all aspect of the series, both technical and sporty, and in Magione there will be the opportunity to try something new… as well as aim for the win!”
After the free practice sessions scheduled on Saturday, the 100 Miles of Magione gets underway on Sunday, November 23 with the qualifying session that will snap at 9:40; the race distance of 64 laps will start at 14:00.
