Amazing resut for Stefano d’Aste and Hexathron Racing Systems in the Monza Rally Show 2014! The driver from Genoa, supported by his sister Linda with technical assistance of Marco Calovolo and his staff, led on the overall podium with the Citroen DS3 WRC prepared by D-Max Racing. D’Aste has been the only driver able to fight with the win against the two Ford Fiesta WRC driven by Robert Kubica and Valentino Rossi, a duel that excited the over 50.000 fand until the last special stage. He shown own best performance during the night stages and in the most difficult conditions, where Stefano got the second fastest time overall. At the end of more than 166 km of the race, Stefano and Linda d’Aste finished in third place 56″ behind Valentino Rossi and 1’08″5 behind the ex F.1 driver Robert Kubica. In the Master Show race, special stage 1 vs 1, Stefano d’Aste and his Citroen DS3 WRC prevailed over 2″ on the Ford Fiesta WRC driven by Gigi Galli (former World Rally Championship driver).

Stefano d’Aste: “I’m really really happy! What a fantastic race, amazing job by (as usual) Marco Calovolo and Hexathron Racing Systems staff which, together D-Max Racing, they gave me a superb car to fight for the win. Thanks to many fans who supported me in this event, to Hexathron Racing Systems, to Max Beltrami and his amazing team of mechanics, to OMP Racing for another masterpiece with the new racing suits and to Michelin! Thanks, of course, to my sister Linda, essential in this weekend and always perfect.

Marco Calovolo (Hexathron Racing Systems): “To say that it is a positive result is an understatement! With Stefano and Linda, D-Max Racing and my guys we have done an amazing job. The Citroen DS3 WRC is not a simple car but is something exceptional, both for competitiveness and for how it reacts to setup adjustments, a perfect modern rally car. Thanks to Stefano and to Max Beltrami and Felice Re, they gave us all support to work without pressure and problems. Looking at Hexathron Racing Systems side, we have proven that we are able to turn a rally car into a winning car, not only for the circuits competitions, with an outstanding job evaluation, development, analysis and race engineering; I hope that the Monza Rally Show is just the first step of a new adventure… with four wheel drive cars!
